Zenxin

Zenxin are a large enterprise primarily farming certified organic produce that is available in its own stores and in major supermarkets like Giant and Cold Storage. You can visit their farm or 'Organic Park' which is on the way to Kluang as a day out for the family or simply shop their fresh produce in the city listed here. Their own stores also have a variety of other organic and wholefood type products like wholewheat noodles and even their own brand of composts and fertilizers for the garden.

Pulau Tioman

Although Pulau Tioman isn't technically in Johor, the gateway to the island, Mersing, on the east coast of Johor state, is where the ferry that takes you there is found .

Legendary as the location for the movie South Pacific, this island continues to rank as one of the best beach destinations in the world. Juara on the east coast made it this year to CNN's Best 100 beaches for 2013 and is becoming a well known surf destination.

Besides beaches, the island also has hiking trails where you can view an environment rich with native flora.

Accomodations range from backpacker to luxury. The island is closed from November to January during the Monsoon season.

Desaru Fruit Farm is a working farm using chemical free farming methods to grow a diverse range of fruits and herbs. Produce is sold at their own outlet in Desaru as well as their stall at Pelangi Pasar Malam in the city. They also make fruit related products- banana chips, fruit cordials, herb drinks and offer tours and overnight stays at their farm.
