A tour of the garden and presentation of ideas about sustainable garden design, xeriscaping, permaculture, native plants, landscape and more.

On Saturday May 12, 2012, Johor Green will have a 'Garden Party' to celebrate the garden’s enduring role as a source of food, medicine, sanctuary and inspiration.

3.30 - 4.30pm Garden Aesthetics.
A presentation exploring garden design and its intersection with local and global culture. Ideas like Color Palettes, Feng Shui, Xeriscaping, Therapeutic Landscapes and more will be shown and discussed.

4.30 - 5.30pm Refreshments
Not just in the garden but from the garden.

5.30 - 6.30pm Organic Gardening.
Methods and techniques to create a sustainable garden.

Food for Thought

The food we eat has changed more in the last 50 years than in the last 10,000, and largely, not for the better.

On wed March 14th, Johor Green is arranging an event called 'Food for Thought'  to learn about, discuss and provide solutions to the emerging problems in the food industry.

Come watch a free screening of acclaimed documentary 'Food Inc' to gain surprising insights about the food industry like the rampant use of non therapeutic antibiotics and genetic modification and how it affects us and our environment.


Come meet the Johor Green Team, and like minded citizens to discuss the issues and to discover local solutions to the concerns raised by this movie including our proposed Community Supported Agriculture program.

6.00 - 8.00 pm.  Meet and Greet the Johor Green Team. Perhaps you have seen the movie but are interested in our CSA program. This would be an ideal time to interface with us.


8.00- 9.30 pm. Screening of Food Inc.

9.30 - 10.30 pm Questions and discussion.

There is no charge for the event but food and drinks are available as normal menu items at the venue.
